    I just bought a...
Pentium IV 2,8 GHZ 800 FSB HT
    motherboard Asus p4p800
    Casing Turbo x-superalien
Memoryy 2x512 DDR 433 kingston hyper x dual
    2 seagate SATA 80 gig
    video card msi fx5700-td 128

My motherboard can overclock my computer up to 30%
    Should i try it?
    is it dangerous?
i can set the overclocking in the bios from 10 to 30%

Also my graphic card can overclock because of DOT (dynamic Overclocking Technologie) from 2 to 10%..

My questions is should i leave everything as it is...
or can I boost everything without any danger if i use the asus overclocking and my graphic card overclocking ability

I tried the 3 of the 4 options....

By putting the overclocking at 10% in my bios (with asus p4p800)
everythin gis fine and my computer is faster the it is supposed to be. (it is a 2,8c and it now goes at 3..09 i think)

But the 20% and 30% overclocking doesn't work.... You know where I should look to overclock my pc and find some helpo??
I know nothing about this but I am above average with pc.

    Thanx

Change the A1 Overclock Tuner to manual and the real overclockin' options become available.

The search button would be a good start...

    FX5900 - 3DMark2001 [20,566] - 3DMark2003 [7,281] - Aquamark3 [56,694]
    Ti4400 - 3DMark2001 [16,028]

    Specification

Pentium IV 2,8c GHZ 800 FSB HT
    motherboard Asus p4p800
    Casing Turbo x-superalien
Memoryy 2x512 DDR 433 kingston hyper x dual
    2 seagate SATA 80 gig
    video card msi fx5700-td 128
    Windows xp sp1 pro
cpu temp around 28 to 33

I used the overclocking ability of my asus motherboard.
    I can overclock 5% an 10% but can't overclock at 20% and 30%

Many people told me that it was better to do it manually but I know very little about overclocking.

i know that I can set it to manual in my bios but waht can I cahnges and waht can't i change???

    Thank you

Look here's the basics that ya need to know (don't worry about it bein' done on PIII's as the principle is the same) plus keep ya AGP/PCI Frequencies locked at 66.66/33.33 and once ya get around 220MHz FSB ya'll likely need to set DRAM Frequency to 333MHz (likely shown as 320 in BIOS) and/or raise the memory voltage a bit. Also you don't need to start another thread on the same subject.
