    I have another question. 240 mhz is the highest it will go. It would not even boot at at 250 so I had to go back default settings to get it to boot. Is there anything else I should set core volage for example to get to 250? :shrug:

    You could raise the voltage to the CPU a bit more but don't go to 1.7v or higher. At 240 will the memory still run at 1:1? :?:

    Here's one of the memory now. It won't boot at 400mhz, no clue why. I have another question, this comp always want's to boot into safe mode,(windows start menu). In the next reply I'll take a shot of my msdos.sys file. I put disable log=1. This is suposed to stop it from wanting to boot into the start menu.

    this start menu thing is getting to be a major pain in the back side. I have to boot into safe mode, then restart to get to the desktop.

    BootMenu=0

    DisableLog=1
    BootMulti=0

    It could be that ya CPU is at its limit or maybe a touch too far so throttle the FSB back a little and see if it still does it.

    If you are adjusting your time frequently, then your CMOS battery is dying. CMOS is your BIOS chip and the battery is the big ass watch battery near it.

    Well seeing as its now 2.5 months later you'd think he'd have got back well before now if he was still having problems don't you think? :confused:
