Hi all, I just got my 2400+ rig yesterday. I Installed XP and made sure everything was running ok. Then I went into the bios to start OC. I set it to 14x150 thinkin it would be 2.1ghz. well, when I booted up, XP recognized it as 2.25ghz. I'm sure I'm just reading something in the bios wrong. Also, for the multiplier there are certain settings that are 7x-15x, like that. what the hell does that mean? I know I need CPU-z but I can't download it atm because I'm waiting for my user info from my ISP.

Might I ask, how did you make this post? I can send CPu-Z 1.21 (latest as of today) if you would like.

Sounds more like ya set the multiplier to 15 instead of 14 for the BIOS to report 2.25GHz. ;)
[b] Also, for the multiplier there are certain settings that are 7x-15x, like that. what the hell does that mean?
ok an example, "7" (is the number of the multiplier), "x" (means multiply by FSB. eg; 7x100MHz=700MHz) and so forth up the range but I can't understand why ya can't understand that.

BTW what sort of mobo and memory are ya usin' with that?

Ok, I didn't clerify, With the multiplier settings...
    It goes like this:
    10
    11
    12
    7x- 14x
    13...

Just a rough example, There are normal multipliers like 10 - 15 or so..
Then theres the ones that are like dual, 7x- 14x. and thats the actual setting.

As far as the the clock speed coming out higher than I thought It would.. I did set it to 14 x 150, and got 2250. Maybe I need to update my bios.
My mobo is an asus A7N8x-x with PC-2700 ram.
