Hi guys! Just letting you know I installed an Athlon XP 1700 tonight into my Abit KT7A ver. 1.3 MB and had to unlock the L1 bridges using methods described at TweakTown and at Tom's Hardware. Actually downloaded a DivX video of how it's done from their website. Pretty cool! I got the L1 bridges connected using silver tracing stuff (comes in a pen) and is THAT a real chore! But, when I booted up the new mb and processor I was able to set the multiplier at 13 and the FSB at 133/33 and works now at 1.667 GHz!

Nice article in this website and how to do it guys!

    Cheers!

I also tried something and it worked! I upped the FSB +4 to make it 137 X 13 multiplier and got a stable, and cool running AthlonXP 1700 processor to run at 1.781 GHz. Now that's as fast a processor as I have ever had! Maybe I can go up a bit more on the FSB! *S*
