I recently bought a new fx5900xt [Core 390, Mem 700 @ standard ] to replace my trusty old ti4200. I have oced the core up to 500MHz and Memory up to 900MHz with no problems at all no artifacts/lockups etc- card still runs cool [36c idle 48c in game- seems odd for the 5900xt to have hardware monitor but anyway ] How far can she go anyone? Am i right in saying that the leadtek board uses faster ram than the other manufacturers - and that the ram used is meant for operation up to 900mhz? Should i risk pushing it more or just leave it as it is? Whats sort of 3dmark 01/03 should i get with my system - Think of it as a clean install etc - not the piece of rafted up s*** it is lol.
Im guessing i should use an agp aperture size of 128 for my 128 meg card
Thankyou . Anyone know any good tweaking progs for nvidia hardware- i used 2 use geforce tweak utility but she dont work with the new forceware drivers :-(

    Cheers people

if you flash the bios on that card you can turn it into a 5950ultra default clock speeds of 475 & 950 (i did this i had the lx version) i have had it as high as 550 & 1080 soem artifacts appeared then so turned it down. at the 475 & 950 i score about 6200 in the 3dmark 03 and 43000 in aquamark. one word of warning though flashing the bios means u will loose the tv-out function of the card. if this is not a prob i would do the flash.

Cool- where do i get the bios and how do i flash it? i dont want 2 risk ruining my card lol- also im geting temparary freeze ups in games with my new fx- i thought it might be the oc so i put it back 2 stock speeds- still freezing for a few secs then returning 2 normal- the card is running cool at all times aswell- i tried turning off agp fast writes- no luck, Tried to give it its own power suplly so it dont share with eg my hard drive-
