Thread: Overclocking 9700pro

  1. #1

Whenever i try to overclock my ATI Radeon 9700pro the core and memory speeds revert back to the defaults. i tried using the program that comes with the Omega Drivers, the overclocker in the Rage3D tweak program, and PowerStrip. they all say they raised the speeds but whenever i restart they the speeds go back to the defualts. I've heard something about having to put a cracked bios on the cards to make them overclockable, don't know though. The card is a built by ATI one, not a third-party. Thanks.

You might have to check a box to have it remember the OC'd settings upon reboot.

Personally, I prefer Radclocker for Radeon cards---you dont even know its there, but it is and has your card runnin fast without using up CPU processes.

i tried many different tools and finaly found Rage 3D Tweak (v.3.9c).
Small and easy to use, will place a icon in the taskbar and takes 8 kb of RAM.
