    Default P4 3.4GHz oc

i currently have a 3.0 oc at 3.6 on my MSI 648F neo series mobo and if i get a P4P800 which i have assumed is the best oc but does it only supports up to 3.2ghz? and that it also supports dual channeling.

so if i got a mobo that supports dual channeling and 3.4 (if u no n e plz help) and a P4 3.4GHz could i be overclocking it to 4.0GHz or more? (bare in mind that i keep the temps down)

    ----------------EDIT----------------------
when i oc my current 3.0 to 3.6 the highest idle temp is 31*c is this good?
(case temp 29*c, room temp 34*c)

u got 31'c is good. my P4 2.4A OC to 3.3GHz and get 52'c temp. Have u change your Cooling system? better change it if u want playing OC, that temp (52'c) is after i change my cooling system. I also using Asus P4P800, this is a good motherboard to playing OC. I like it.

idle temps arent important. its load temps you need to worry about.
how is the temp inside the case lower than the room temp, are you sure that the temperature sensors are correct

after playing hours of games on my pc the cpu temp has stayed the same because with my msi mobo i got a cd which controlls all fans, temps and overclocking.
i made it so my cpu temp never goes above 35*c (wen the temp rises the fan goes faster)

can u please answer my question

One, I dont see how your CPU temp is the same/lower than your room. Thats a giveaway that your temps are off. For the third time, keep your current CPU and get a new mobo and DC RAM.

4GHz might be possible, but, for starters, the 3.4GHz P4 is way too damn expensive. 2nd, I don't think 4GHz would be obtainable without watercooling at the very least.
