    Default Overclocking for a Newb with an Athlon

    Can my Computer be Overclocked and if so what is involved here are the specs

    Athlon XP 3000+ 2.2GHz
    1Gig Ram
    350W PSU
    ASRock K7VT6
    GeForce FX 5200 256MB

    Any other Info ya need lemme know

    Honestly I am new to Overclocking all I have heard is stories and I been browsing Forums trying to learn more I think these forums are great and they are really helping me learn more about Overclocking
    I know there prob isnt alot I can do with my current system but for future reference I would like to know how to overclock any new Rigs I may build in the future

    You should be able to overclock by raising the fsb. The multipler is probally locked.
    You can do that by going into your bios and raising the fsb.
    I recommend you get famillilar with your bios before changing anything.You must also monitor your cpu temps before and after changes.
