You know what, I thought you had an NF4 board for some stupid reason, I need to get my eye's checked. And I also don't think that the board has a PCI/AGP lock as well. You might be hitting the limits of the board. Just remember, in anything other than benchmarks, you would not feel/notice the difference of 2.4GHz and 2.8GHz. Do not let anyone tell you otherwise. You might get 1-3FPS more, but that is imperceivable. Enjoy what you have where you have it and let noone tell you otherwise. THat is an excellent system and @ 2.4-2.5GHz it is a gaming monster!

You also want to get that ram running as close to 200MHz as possible. Does that board have a 180MHz memory divider?

look at your pci and agp... it should be 66.66Mhz and 33.33Mhz, thats why you had to reinstall windows.... when you're ocing in windows you have to set the FSB to 201 in BIOS just to lock that... i think this works...
i think that trying more clocks doesnt kill anyone! :D

What you mean ORIOZ is that you set the AGP/PCI lock to 67MHz and it locks them on your NEO2, but the VIA chipset has no PCI/AGP lock at all.

Exclamation Re: Overclocking my AMD 3700+ san diego

ROFL HES OVERCLOCKING USing A WINDOWS PROGRAM and no nforce4?..........DUDE,DO IT IN THE BIOS ONLY(thats why it corrupted xp)read up on it.and plz dont raise your voltage on anything, lmfo the ram or mobo cant do it period,so ppl are telling u to electrocute your chip because of it,unreal advice im hearing?yawg dude undertsand his ram?p\s,mobo?aint happening.read my sig plz.btw my cpu voltage is stock 1.36volts.you need a nforce4 chipset not a via chipset to overclock any 939 good offering diff bios options,u have a powersupply im not feeling on the 12volt rails, and value ram,a kt800 chipset on mobo(kills it) .honestly im amazed u got 225fsb which i know isnt prime95 or memtest95 stable.i would be very happy man if i were u.i paid $125 for mobo,$500 for ram,$150 for powersupply,$250 for raptor hardrives in raid 0,that could be why i overclocked a lil higher then u lol?for what u paid for the parts u have there i would be happy like i said man... =)

plz stop torturing your o\s and your pc or its gonna crash again and could possibly blow out hd sectors(making it useless!),your pc is NOT READY TO OVERCLOCK AT ALL!!UNDERSTAND THIS FACT.i like u zach but im not gonna blow smoke up your butt and tell u it is.if u had a nforce4 mobo (which i told u to get),NON VALUE RAM MAN value ram atleast,a TRUE 350watt+ ANTEC p\s then i could help you.sorry but i cant do anything for u.you grabbed the wrong motherboard man,nforce4 chipset offers a wealth of better features for everything to match purfectly up to the socket 939 stepping chips.the blah $50 ram u have and that p\s is probaly 11 volts tops on the rails.....sigh i would never say this, but just give up right there and enjoy your pc BEFORE U HURT A COMPONENT.the only part u have in your pc that is overclocking material is the 3700 chip, nothing else and your killing everything else trying to do it.i cant belive this thread even got started.u get what u pay for.... even better ram wont overclock good on a via controller.i never understood why they brought the socket 754 controller and slammed it on a 939 mobo.i guess for ppl to save money....sigh

like building a solid brick house(your 3700)with a straw roof, and plexigalss windows, might not hold up to well in a storm(overclocking)

and the ppl who did overclock well on that board did not use value ram\rosewell p\s combo i assure u and they did it in the bios.were u ever in your bios?

i dont have Nforce4 and i test oc in windows...he was doing it in BIOS before (you should read the posts) and it crashes anyway . It mess up with the hdd because of the high PCI freq. how is it possible to oc the computer with the hdd like that!!! the CPU should be oc not the hdd, it must be a way to lock that if there arent any then i wouldnt oc... thats my opinion
