well if you just rise your fsb, probably your mem is slowing you down.... with that mems the only thing you can do is set a ram divider (put it to 166Mhz or even 133Mhz in bios (try 166 1st)) that will guive you some more space to work... as you increase the fsb the mem icreases too but a few MHz lower (example: if you have ram divider you could have fsb:246 ram:214Mhz) bcause both of them increases... guive it a try with small fsb increaments... also be carefull with the full load temps! but 28c its good

you have to be sure that your sata frequenci is locked.... that happen with me too... if you are rising in windows (thats the best way for me) you should go to bios 1st and set fsb to 201. the other thing that can happen is your sata channel that could be unlock.. so when you raise your fsb your sata freq. raise to and thats why you have to reinstall everything... and you are lucky.... i've alreay lost a hdd like that

Zach you should check to see if your board has a jumper to reset the cmos if you make a mistake. If it wont boot just reset the cmos. You can prolly read more about it in the manual.

O and as for overclocking, You must set a ram divider. Right now i have my ram set to run at 333Mhz in my bios. That may seem funny but my htt speed is 3x which is multiplied by 260, which is my fsb speed. The outcome of that means my Real fsb speed is is really 779. I've had my cpu at 4x 260 but i forgot i had that as i've reset it a couple of times. I hope that better expaines the ram divider thing. It took my awhile to get it bet just look at all the numbers and how they are related to eachother.

Also how do i lock sata frequency

i think i did that i set the ram ratio lower so lets say my ram is 200mhz i would lower it to 166mhz then oc the cpu which would stay at 200 to 220 and the ram speed would go up to 186 not affecting anything or maxing out my ram right

well 1st you have to see if you have any channel locked by factory...(example my sata 3 & 4 channels are locked, the others arent) search in the manual or on the website... then if they all are unlocked then you just have to change the fsb in BIOS but since you are ocing in BIOS that cant be the problem..... but i would check for locked channels anyway...

and if you want ocing in win (i think is the best way...if unstable just reboot) you can download Clockgen here
I already check and is compatible with Ausus A8V
Then when you find stable point you set it in BIOS, and you can see if pci freq. iss increasing..

    more info about clockgen here

    listen guys and hello btw,
ok for starters lower that ram speed to find max cpu speed(run the 166mhz diver 5:6)then bring up fsb to 215 leave ALL voltages at stock, and yes pci frequency should be at 100mhz or auto, your ldt should be at 4x for fsb tweaks up to 250=2000 hypertranspot safe area..ldtxfsb=htt speed(should be under over 1600 up to 2000mhz max)DO NOT RUN LDT AT X5 OR 1:1 RATIO FOR MEMORY IF YOUR OVERCLOCKING PERIOD,u can overclock with 1:1 when u grab some better ram FOR NOW RUN RAM AT 5:6 CAS 3-3-3-6(SAFE)..ldt x4 fsb to 250(never hit 250..) = under 2000mhz for htt frequency..example:ldtx5 xfsb200 =2000 htt speed(stock)
    overclocked case ldtx4 lets say x250fsb(or lower220..) =2000 htt(safe)

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=1969916

    http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=88502 fsb 249@2.75 cas 3-3-2-6 1:1 ,cpu @1.36 volts

    http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=88346 fsb 247 @2.7.cas 2.5-3-2-5 cpu\12 ,cpu @2.7 volts

be back lil bit guys...bf2 is insane at 2.7ghz with 4 gigs of ram and 7900gtx512 card monstering threw maps with like 9 second load times...sik sik sik !!!!
