I am @ 2.9GHz dual prime stable that is like a 65% OC on a dual core

Keep pushing, I had a 148 that could do 3.2GHz on air.

I seem to have bad luck with processors. My X2 can hardly reach 2.3 and my s754 3200(stock 2.2GHz) had problems getting to 2.5. I think I may try my luck with a 165 this summer.

Right now the newer 3800+ X2's and 165/170's are getting nice clocks with low voltages. The 144/146/148's are doing quite well too. If I were you, I'd check with NCIX and see if you can find a 0550 UPMW stepping as that is what I have and they have sold a bunch of them. Excellent clockers.

That's not the processor's fault. There's a problem with the motherboard, power supply, or your settings. I've never heard of an X2 that can't do more than 2.3.

Well I'll know for sure if it is the CPU a few days hopefully, when buddy brings over the 144. I know my memory is not the limiting factor. I have tried almost every combo I can think of as far as HTT and CPU multi goes, still cant hit more than 2.3 without major errors on core 0(in prime). Core 1 can hit 2.5 without problems or errors, I think my CPU was binned as a 3800 for that reason.

Anyway good job on hitting 3GHz, and good luck getting it stable.
