I have read loads but I am still confused ..
Help needed to O/C my Sempron 3400+ purchased recently from Dabs, installed on Gigabyte M8VM800MAE mobo Rev 1
Just upgraded from 3000+ , [COLOR=green! important][COLOR=green! important]system[/COLOR][/COLOR] is stable, crisp, and more eager to perform. benchhmark says 2009MHz and I wonder if there is much more under bonnet ?
If so what can be reasonably achieved ???
and what bios settings need be adjusted ???
Setup includes:
Mobo:- Gigabyte M8VM800MAE Rev 1
[COLOR=green! important][COLOR=green! important]CPU[/COLOR][/COLOR]:- AMD Sempron 3400+, 256kb, L2 Cache (2.0GHz)
Memory:- 2x 1024mb Crucial unbuffered DIMM PC3200
Additiional [COLOR=green! important][COLOR=green! important]case [COLOR=green! important]fan[/COLOR][/COLOR][/COLOR] fitted.

Bios Settings:- Award v6.0PG
K8 [COLOR=green! important][COLOR=green! important]CPU [COLOR=green! important]Clock[/COLOR][/COLOR][/COLOR] ratio -DEFAULT. The other options being x5 ~ x10. in steps of 1.
Auto Detect PCI Clock - Enabled.
CPU Host Clock (200MHz) Control - Disabled. (range 200~455 when enabled)
Speed Spectrum Value - Enabled.
AGP Overvoltage Control - Auto.
