    Asusprob should be more accurate (but I've got no way of testing) since Asus should know the peculiarities of their boards

    as for which voltage is better - hard to say, probably both, ie you might find that one of the HD's might prefer 12.54V and the cdrom may prefer 11.9V.

    Asusprob should have some built in limits for when it begins to alarm - have a look at that and you should be able to work it out

    crap - ever used it in the wrong setting or had 15 AC on a DC line?

    and when was the last time you had it calibrated? (probably never)

    I will admit that its significantly more accurate than Asus prob, but saying it never lies is a tad over the top.
