Thread: First time ocing.

  1. #1

    Default First time ocing.

I did my first ocing after looking and reading. I found a step by step process for amd. I have followed it and I am at 2.6Mhz right now. I don't want to go any faster than that. My cpu when testing with prime95 went up to 45c with only my cpu fan running on it's slowest setting. It was at 36c with cpu at slowest and 2 nexus fans running at less than half speed which is silent. The article says that upping the cpu speed is far more important than increasing memory speed.
What does anyone recommend raising now that my fsb has been raised? Do I need to raise anything?

you may run into problems if the memory divider isnt lowered, maybe it lowered automatically. calculate the fsb:ram ratio, set a fixed divider for the right speed (maybe you want to increase ram speed as well?) and set the latency timings to what they should be, so that they arnt lowering automatically.
