    FINALLY got my ram got a special deal on it seings ram went up
    It was accedently ordera month or 2 ago
    256MB of XMS300 Corsair @ $195
    And from within TAS!!!
    The place i got it off is advertising it for $263 in the same week as i brought it :D

    Dr. Peter, you should go read up on how exchange rates work. Their prices are only higher, because they earn more of their dollars... BUT their dollars are only worth half as much (as US Dollars), so it all comes out in the wash.

    The only difference in situation is that they have to import everything, which adds a dollar or so per pound of item weight. That and Britian might still be taxing them heavily. (are they, guys?)

    That was the advantage of the GST in Australia, computer hardware used to be taxed at 21% (or something similar) and now it's only 10%.
    Although it took a long time for retailers to hand down the savings.

    well i wouldn;t know....at the time GST came in i was still screwing aorund trying to o/c my imac...btw o/c an imac is a very complicated procedure due to the complexity of the imac's insides and the fine soldering required to o/c...one of these days i mite have another go....although i could mod my sexy imac into a windfarm:D

    Britain always get extortion of the first degree. Not suprising. It kinda seems like aussies pay out duplicate of what they should be. That's a real bummer!!

    Well, then it sounds like you guys should declare independence!

    Mention plans to become a Democratic nation, and I guarantee we'd back you.... which means, Britian would give up without a fight, and then you'd be able to keep your own money! And Govern yourselves.
