    OK, realised my mistake. Hadn't set the memory divider. Put the memory at 667MHz and memtest is fine on tests 4+5. Now just going to tweak till I hit 3 and put the RAM back up to spec.

    No worries about the bios file, I can extract it on my laptop just haven't got around to it yet, but thanks anyway.

    Just wondering about the vdroop... Are the voltages recommended by Intel before or after vdroop, because I have set my bios voltage to 1.55 but cpu-z shows 1.35. Is that ok because I don't really want to go past 1.4...

    Ya, that is fine, and you can safely go to 1.45 and even 1.45++ as long as your temps are good.

    That is a HUGE Drop!

    any ideas on settings. if i do any oc at all my machine wont boot and takes ages to get back to bios. it just powers on and off

    Hmm, well give me your current settings in full that you are trying and fail with and I will advise back.
