    Default OC q8200 ep45 extreme mobo

    hi guys im new to overclocking i have a q8200 and love to oc it to 3gz at least. may somone help me out on the bios i have no clue where to start and affaid of blowing up my computer.....

    Please post what ram you have, and how much. A link to it would also be good.

    And please fill that table in again, with ONLY your settings so I can be sure what you are using. I see you left several key things as I had them in the template, is that because you left them in auto or what? Post exactly what you have set, if something is in Auto put Auto for it

    At only 3Ghz you are going to have issues getting your ram to exact 1066, you would need to use 6x500 for 1000 or run 7x425 for 850 and then you could use much tighter ram timings. I will post 7x425 setting for you for now

    ^^ Since this is only 850Mhz you can likely run 444-12, you may need to use 544-12 though.  If you want to try 500X6 for 1000MHz ram speed let me know.  And yes, you will see other ram multi's that you could maybe use to get 1066, but those on the 333 strap will be unstable over 400 FSB so you likely cannot use them.  Only D strap (2.00D, 2.66D, 3.33D)

    I'm running it at q8200 freq 3.107(7x444)
    pcie 100
    mem timings 5-5-5-15
