    Default Q6600 on Gigabyte P35c-DS3R = UGH!

Man, I swear over the course of the first year of owning this combo I have had NOTHING but grief. I say a year because I try to OC for a bit then give up only to try again and again to no avail.

This should be simple but EVERY time I push a mild OC (2.4 to 3.0) while reboot it resets the BIOS and the OC won't take.

    Q6600, G0
    Gigabyte P35c-DS3R
    Crucial 2GB PC6400 Ballistix (newer 2v version)

    Key MIT settings:
    Multi: 9
    Clock frequency:333
    PCI-x: manual:100

    RAM: Loosened to 5-5-5-15
    VDIMM: +.1 (1.99v according to 12e BIOS)

    VCore: I have tried 1.275, 1.3, 1.35, and 1.4

I have finally come to the conclusion that either my G0 is bunk or my P35c is crap. Assuming the latter. How do I tell so that I can RMA one or both?

Someone may correct me but I doubt you have a case for RMA if everthing runs at its' proper settings. Overclocking a system, by definition, is pushing components beyond that which they were designed and usually warrantied for.
    Antec 900 case (4 120mm and 1 200mm lighted fans + UFO flashing light set + 2 12" and 1 6" Mutant Mods meteor lights) - Aerogate ll thermal controller - Asus M2N-e SLI - AMD 64 X2 AM2 6400+ - Corsair TX650 PSU - MSI 450GTS Cyclone OC - 2 X 2GB Patriot Extreme Performance PC2 6400 RAM - SATA 320 GB Seagate HD, SATA 300GB Maxtor HD and IDE 80 GB Samsung HD - Floppy Drive/Card Reader Combo - LG SuperMulti Lightscribe 18x DVD RW - Plextor PX-716A DVD r/rw - Windows 7 Home Premium 64

Crude but Effective ... it is a way of life.

You won't be able to successfully RMA on those grounds. RMA is only if the product doesn't not work at stock etc.
