    Default GA-P35-S3G and Q6600 overclocking

    Hey Guys,

Was wondering if anyone could help me?

I'm currently trying to overclock my processor to 3.0+, have had a fiddle, but each attempt has resulted in my computer turning off after seconds of booting, then resetting the BIOS settings. Even when trying something as low as 2.8.

    Here's my spec.

    MotherBoard: GA-p35-s3g
    Processor: Intel Q6600 GO stepping
    HeatSink: Arctic Cooling Pro7
    RAM: 4X 4gig 800MHz

Can anyone recommend any settings to try out?

I've set the RAM ratio down to 2.0, and set the voltage to match also.

Any help would be much appreciated!!

My usual advice is to start at the stock FSB frequency and the lowest multiplier. Run lots of stress tests and watch the core temperatures. Raise the FSB in small steps, then crank up the multiplier.

Each CPU and motherboard is different, so I can't tell you definitively what settings to try.

Large amounts of RAM are apparently pretty hard to get stable, I'm finding this out with a 4x2GB setup myself. Try backing off the RAM timings a bit until you get the CPU working correctly at the desired speed.

    Try this.

    FSB: 333
    Multi: 9

    Vcore: 1.4
    PLL: 1.5
    VTT/CPU Termination: 1.3
    RAM: 667MHz 4-4-4-12
    RAMv: 2.0v

Could u post ur fulll BIOS settings.

If that works then i'll tell u what you should try lowering it too.
