Default Can't get Vista to recognize over 3.17ghz

    Motherboard - MSI P7N Paltinum
    CPU - E7200 2.53 @3.17

I was able to get it clocked this high no problem but when I go higher Windows and Core Temp do not recognize and still show 3.17. What am I doing wrong?

Could it be speedstep slowing the cpu down??? try running a load on the cpu and see if it increases

    I don't think so

CPU speed controlled by operating system = Disabled

OK I was able to get it up to 3.33ghz after flashing the BIOS. Was running a bit unstable until I cranked up the voltage a bit. Seems to be running fine now on stock cooling at 41 degrees idling.
