    Default Goal: 4.2ghz with E8400 + EP45-UD3R

    Right now my e8400 EO is currently at 4ghz and I want to go up to 4.2ghz.

    4.2 may be pushing it, or asking for high temps for not much gain.

    What cooler are you using? And your ram?

    Your PLL you are using now is a bit high, so you can lower that for sure. Other than that your settings look all very loose so you should be able to jump to 4.2 pretty easy, you may need to move to the D multi's though.

    Once you post me a link to your ram or give me the model # I can make some suggestions for you

    I'm using G.SKILL PC2-8500 ram 2X2GB

    NCIX.com - Buy G.SKILL F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK PC2-8500 4GB 2X2GB DDR2-1066 CL5-5-5-15 240PIN Dual Channel Memory Kit - F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK In Canada.

    Using a Xigmatek HDT-S1283 currently 33 idle, 45load <-- can be lower. all fans are at medium speed right now.

    I've made it to 4.05ghz with 1.31volts but temps go up to 68 with intel burn test

    so it's okay to use LLC when overclocking? for some reason I thought it wasn't with the 45nm chips?
