    Exclamation OC Issues with GA-EP45-UD3P VER 1.6/ E6400/ 4GB of Crucial Ballistix PC2 6400

    OC Issues with GA-EP45-UD30 VER 1.6/ E6400/ 4GB OF Crucial Ballistix PC2 6400

Having problems with populating all 4 mem slots. I have tested them 2 at a time and all have passed a memtest. I have also manually set clock timings to 4-4-4-12 and the mem voltage to 2.1v but I am still getting random BSOD and can't get a stable OC on the CPU.

    and suggestions?

Please give me your full settings in a template from my signature.

Which Crucial kit is this? If they are rated at 2.0V please us that. If they are 2.0V stick, I reviewed them in P45, link in my signature also with many settings posted that I used for various speeds.

Mainly you probably need to set MCH Core, and tRD yourself. I'll help ya though, get me your current settings and I will advise back

I attempted to add it to my footer so this is a test post to see if it worked... it is not as good looking as yours.

Can you post me an image from CPU-z of the SPD tab please? Just want to be sure, but I think those are the 2.2V sticks, which you may need to RMA due to issues they have found with them.

Just as I thought, this is the old 2.2V sticks that died WAY too often. You can either RMA now, or I can try to help you get them going. They may not be very compatible either, this was another issue with them.

If you would like to try and get them going, can you please first test them one by one for a few hours each at stock settings (With ram voltage set to spec 2.2V) with Memtest86+
Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool'

Then once you are sure they are ok I can help you try to get them going, if not you will need to RMA.

If you already have tested them as you say, for long enough you are sure they are fine then please give me your current full settings in a template from my signature and I will advise back

I have another question, I just remembered I purchased my Ballistix kits at different times, will this be a factor? Do you know if they fixed that problem early and is there a change in appearance of the kits? My two kits have different looking heat spreaders and i can no longer tell which one i purchased first. I have an RMA for one of them and am not sure if i will need to RMA both kits.

Yes, that may be a factor. If they are all 2.2V then no, but if one kit is the new 2.0V and one is old 2.2V then yes that would be a problem.

The kit looks the same, they just changed the chips used inside them is all.

Look at each kit in CPU-Z SPD Tab, if they all look the same as you posted above then they are both old 2.2V kits, look at the EPP 400/500 Voltages.

My post from CPU-Z is 3 of 4 sticks. My current problem is that the motherboard won't boot with all sticks installed with them set at 2.0v or 2.1v. So if I reboot set them to 2.2v in bios and install the last stick it should boot and all i will need to do is set MCH Core, and tRD, right?
