Default cant get past 3.2Ghz on a gigabyte ma790x-ud4p?

hi all, i was told to ask this on these forums, apperently you guys are the ultimate OC'ers, and being a gigabyte board makes it even better lol.

    specs:

    GA-MA790x-UD4p
4gb ( dont know the ram name, am getting some corsair soon)
    win7 64 bit
    x4 620

ok, i have been trying and trying to hit anything higher then 3.2GHz, but i cant. i have tryed lowering everything to the lowest it can going, including RAM.

ive tryed giving the CPU 1,6v ( high i know, but still didnt help either way ), ive tryed disabling coolnquite thing, giving my RAM more volts, al the bridges ect. ive tryed so much stuff i cant remember what i have tryed.

does anyone know how i can get past 3.2Ghz please tell me, its pissing me off.

if i forgot something, please ask thankyou!!!! :D

EDIT: ive also tryed removing 1 stick of ram, still no help. im thinking 3.2 is the mobos limit??

We are awaiting for your CPU, memory, and power supply part numbers. Heatsink and fans should also be a concern when Overclocking. Now with the memory controller built into the cpu it's not all about the motherboard, and really never has been. We maybe can help with more information.

if i knew which other information you needed i would give it to you.

where do i find the part numbers?

also i got a antec 902, and CPU cooler is a xigmatek red scorian, barely hits 35c under load in the winter so thats not a problem.

    what else do you need?

PSU is a antec eco neo 620c 620w

    umm, GPUs: crossfired 5770s

Memory and CPU info you can get for him from CPU-z
CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting

Post what type of CPU you have, and what stepping it is. Then post what memory model # your memory is, from the SPD tab of CPU-z

Or just post some pics of each tab for him if that would be easier for you.

OK I believe that memory should have a small label on it with the memory part numbers. But you gave us the number off of one of the memory chips. So I will use this data. Raise the DDR-2 voltage +0.2V

Have you lowerd the northbridge multiplier and increase the northbridge voltage +0.2V. ?
I estimated that the CPU frequency is already from 200Mhz to 246Mhz. Is that correct?

i dont understand all that 100%, but il try my best to reply so you get me ;p

my RAM stock voltage is 1.8, i have raised it to 1.9v, ( which gets me to 2.9GHz ), and 2v ( which gets me to 3.1gHz ), but i cant get past 3.2Ghz, if i make the RAM 2.1v, system wont boot up.

the CPU is at 2.9GHz now, and i THINK ( not 100% ) 230x13, or something close to that.

ive tryed lowering the NB multiplier, and adding some volts, still no joy though.

ive tryed pretty much everything i could possibly think of, everything i can find on the net.

Try lowering the memory multiplier to X2.66@2.0V Also lower the HT Link to X8, and the Northbridge link to X8. also raise the Northbridge voltage to 1.4V
Raise the CPU core voltage to 1.55V @ X13-255Mhz.
ive tryed lowering the NB multiplier, and adding some volts, still no joy though.
Were you able to make this change before pushing the OC higher? HT link X8=1600 NB X8= 1600 @ 1.4V get this done first, then OC

just keep restarting on me at the "welcome" screen this time
Please verify. Is this restarting at Windows Welcome screen? If yes you may need to run Windows Setup again for CPU changes.
The CPU you have maybe it won't OC that high.
