    Default EP45-UD3P + E8400 +4GB of G.Skill 6400CL5

    Looking to find out what the average OC is on this setup is.
    Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
    Windows 7 (6.1) Ultimate Edition (Build 7600)
    Gigabyte EP45-UD3P
    NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS
    Creative X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro
    4GB of G.Skill 2x2GB PC6400 CL 5-5-5-15 1.8-1.9v
    Antech Nine Hundred Case
    Corsair H50
    Silverstone DA800 PSU
    Plextor PX-850SA & PX-755SA

    For 4.2GHz you need 467MHz FSB which means the memory will be at minimum 934MHz, this may be a bottleneck.

    3.6Ghz is stable on this ram.

    Yes 3.6GHz should not be a problem as ram is within it's specs, you might be able to clock it higher to or near your target depending how high you are willing to go with it's voltage or you may need to relax the timings.
    Please post your BIOS settings using the template from this post or the one above it.

    no worries m8... switching to an Asus 750i mobo... tired of not having x16 SLi... Hacked SLi was cool but not the same if you cant get full speed.
