For 8GB you may need extra CPU/NB anyway, from what I read this CPU shouldn't need more than 1.35v while NB is < 3GHz.

Little progress report of what I just did.

    - Shut down PC and replaced memory again adding the Vengeance modules.
    - Forgot to check if BIOS had ajusted the settings right, but it had. Ran Memtest86+ that came up clean (took about an hour).
    - Exited the memtest and let windows boot up normally.
    - Started CPU-Z to dump a txt file and I ended up with a bluescreen
    Code:
    Problem signature
    Problem Event Name:	BlueScreen
    OS Version:	6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
    Locale ID:	1030

    Server information:	33c93396-9294-440d-88e8-a6f4a42dc2ad
It automatic rebooted and wouldn't POST anymore. Had to reset and hardpower a couple of times before it would and then came with a OC failed F1 error msg. Ok, went into BIOS and changed the timings to 9-10-9-27 as that are the ones it uses in the XMP profile.
So far so good. Could save a CPU-Z and open a browser to write this.

    ----
About the extra voltage. Since it works fine with the other 8GB module set and they are specified to the same, it shouldn't make a difference in this case. the 2 sets I got available to test with:
    Vengeance: CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9 (ver2.12) - troublemaker
    XMS3: CMX8GX3M2A1333C9 (ver8.11) - just works

    [EDIT]
I couldn't find any reference anywhere in POST or in the BIOS itself about single/dual channel. Only place I can see it is in CPU-Z.

After a reboot and some messing around in BIOS without really changing anything (a couple places i manually set the same timings as the auto already had done).... opened CPU-Z to see.. and now it shows dual. I'm getting confused here. Something is dodgy, never had this much trouble with any system before.

    STOP Error 0x0000001A: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
So this is clearly memory issue.
memtest86+ is not realy a stress program it meant to find bad modules, and can detect real bad settings.
Check what is the default CPU/NB Voltage, and increase it gradually. If offset mode shows total applied voltage I think it's preffered.
I am just guessing, but you should end with less than 1.3v CPU/NB voltage.

EDIT: don't know about ASUS AMD boards, but mine show a line like"4096MB Dual-Channel" at post.

Are you using latest mb BIOS? It might support your vengeance ram better,if your losing memory modules its probably not enough nb voltage

I've RMA'd the modules today. They do work semi, but not at the specs they are sold at. I did a full day of testing yesterday, everything i could think of and that the conclusion I came to.

Thanks for the help I've already gotten here. I wouldn't have been able to narrow it so much down without.

PS. Yea, i got the latest BIOS update. Was first thing I did when I got power on the MB.

Little update from me (and last post for a while). I never got to send back the memory modules as posted above. Cause when i wanted to all the errors came back with the new modules as well.
After about a month of hardcore testing, error checking, tech support etc I've come to the conclusion that it is the BIOS that is defekt. Either that or the on-the-fly OC feature. Both nothing I can do about myself.

Even on stock settings all the way trough the trouble persist, So when I'm done with this post I'm going to split the system into pieces again and return the mainboard for an RMA.
Not my year .. 2nd mainboard I have to RMA withing a couple of month (different reasons though) ... lets hope for sunshine ahead. And thanks again to everyone trying to help me out here, much appriciated.

Little Update: Finally got the mainboard back from RMA yesterday and set it up again. Now everything seems to work like a charm. Right now it is running stable at 3.7Ghz with the defaul automatic OC tuning. (+15% performance according to the tool)

So seems all these weird errors I had really were the mainboard - now its back to having fun

Though I'd add the current CPU-Z. This is auto OC where it doesn't really touch the voltage, so guess I'd be able to get some more with manual tuning of it. But happy so far.
