Your best bet is to use the MSI HQ Users-to-Users Forum, Overclockers & Undervolting & Modding Corner sub-forum.
All hardware overclocking threads are in this sub-forum.
They have different sub-forums for non-overclocked hardware.
I've found that their forum gurus are very responsive.

Some forum members here might be able to help, but I don't know how many are familiar with the ins and outs of MSI motherboards and bioses.

Thumbs up re: Help overclocking MSI p965 Platinum

OK, add a detailed hardware list to your forum signature, including your motherboard version, bios version, and operating system version.
I was able to overclock my E6550 to about 3.50GHz and the E6750 can overclock somewhat higher.
I will download your motherboard user manual and see how the bios settings and options compare with my EP45 Gigabyte motherboard.

Copy and paste the EP45 bios template into NotePad or any plain text editor and fill in your current stable bios settings.
Ignore or write N/A for any settings that don't apply to your bios and post your current stable bios template
Your AMI bios probably has somewhat different bios setting names from the Award bios used in Gigabyte EP45 systems.

    Welcome to the forum.

Great thanks. I have a MSI 965 Platium, im running bios 1.8 which is the final bios for this board. I have a core 2 duo e6750, Crucial ballistix ddr2 800 cl4 2gb, Windows Vista 32bit. I have revision 1.1 of the motherboard. One things that really stinks about this board, you cant change cpu multipliers x, makes it tough.

Run CPU-Z, click the About tab, click on Save Report (.TXT) and attach this report file in your next post.

Please post the model number of your ballistix memory and if it's the newer 2.00 volt version or the older 2.20 volt version.
Providing a link to the Crucial Ballistix page for your exact memory model will help. I assume you are using 2 x 1GB of 800MHz 4-4-4-12 memory.
We need a detailed hardware list that includes brand and model numbers.
    Power supply?
    Cpu cooler?
    Video card(s)?
    Hard drive(s)?
    Sound card?

Adding this information in your forum signature will cut down on possible errors and speed up the process.
I'm rather hard nosed on this, as I don't have the time to scroll back through a thread to verify your setup each time.
Many forum members are simultaneously helping in many threads at the same time.
Some overclocking threads go on for several pages.

What are your overclocking goals? Are you gaming? Running any intensive applications? Encoding? Looking for bragging rights?

I would like to get to 400 fsb x 8 so i can be at 3.2 3.3 on my e6750. I game some, watch hd videos, i just love overclocking, but this board has some odd settings i have no clue what they do or are, and for the life of me cant get past 361 fsb.
