Default Please help me OC my Q6600 on my EP45-DS3L

I have been trying for weeks to OC and i got to 3.0Ghz but its not very stable it crashes and i really dont know what to do anymore I'm sorry i know this question people have asked a million times but i couldnt find anyone with the same setup as me i have 2x2GB OCZ platinum ddr2 pc2-6400 ive saved my cpu-z results in text and uploaded here if thats okay.
Thank you for all your help in advance :)
Sorry i forgot to mention i do have a aftermarket air cooler and frest thermal paste has been aplied and my goal would be to get it to 3.0GHz.
Thank you!

Your memory can be set to run 5-4-4-15 timings with some extra voltage, we will get to that later.

3GHz on Q6600 G0 should be easy, depend on your cooler you may get it as high as 3.4-3.5GHz.

Load optimized defaultsm make any changes required as boot drive order, HPET mode etc.
Than make the following changes in M.I.T:
Code:
Clock Chip Control
CPU Host Clock Control --------------- : [Enabled]
CPU Host Frequency (Mhz) --------------: [333]

DRAM Performance Control
Performance Enhance ------------------- : [Standard]
System Memory Multiplier -------------- : [2.40B]
DRAM Timing Selectable ----------------- : [Manual]

Advanced Timing Control
Channel B Timing Settings
Static tRead Value --------------------- : [8] << try 9 for both channels if no boot

Channel B Timing Settings
Static tRead Value --------------------- : [8]

Motherboard Voltage Control
CPU
CPU Vcore --------------- 1.32500V ---- : [1.35] <<< may need more
CPU Termination --------- 1.200V ------ : [1.2] <<< may need a klick or 2 more
CPU PLL ----------------- 1.500V ------ : [1.5]

MCH/ICH
MCH Core ---------------- 1.100V ------- : [1.16] <<< up to 1.24

DRAM
DRAM Voltage ------------ 1.800V ------- : [1.9-2.0]
In Advanced BIOS Features:
Code:
CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E) ---------------- : [Disabled]
CPU EIST Function --------------------- : [Disabled]
Enable those later after proving more or less stable.

Create a memtest86| boot usb flash-drive and run at least one pass before you attampt to run windows.
In windows run 1-2 hors Prime95 small FFT torture.
1-2 houres large FFT torture.

Watch over the temperatures with RealTemp or Core Temp, max core temperature should not exceed 70c during Prime95 torture.

EDIT: which aftermaket cooler do you have?
EDIT2: CPU PLL 1.55 not 1.5

Ok this is how it went for now.

Code:
Clock Chip Control
CPU Host Clock Control --------------- : [Enabled]
CPU Host Frequency (Mhz) --------------: [333]

DRAM Performance Control
Performance Enhance ------------------- : [Standard]
System Memory Multiplier -------------- : [2.40B]
DRAM Timing Selectable ----------------- : [Manual]

Advanced Timing Control
Channel B Timing Settings
Static tRead Value --------------------- : [8] << this was fine it booted normal

Channel B Timing Settings
Static tRead Value --------------------- : [8]

Motherboard Voltage Control
CPU
CPU Vcore --------------- 1.32500V ---- : [1.35]
CPU Termination --------- 1.200V ------ : [1.2]
CPU PLL ----------------- 1.500V ------ : [1.55]

MCH/ICH
MCH Core ---------------- 1.100V ------- : [1.16]

DRAM
DRAM Voltage ------------ 1.800V ------- : [1.9]

I disabled both C1E and EIST. I ran memtest for more than 1 pass and it went fine no errors or anything. I ran then prime95 small and it went also fine just the temps were 70 70 63 63 +/- 1 degrees but also it went fine without any warnings or errors.
Il run the big test now and post here on how it goes.
And one more thing I didnt change any memory timings you said that comes later so i didn't touch that :)
Thank you again fingers crossed !

EDIT: Before i ran the bigger test i noticed that my case fans were full of dust so i cleaned the whole thing and now while the big test is running temps are stable at 63 63 52 52

According to it's web page the memort is capable of 5-4-4-15 standard timings with 2.1v DRAM Voltage. Try 2.06v first and add if there are errors or the system unstable.
You may try 5-4-4-15 or 5-5-5-15 and set lower tRD(Static tRead Value), 7 or even 6 may be possible.

The CPU VID is 1.235v so I just threw +0.025v as a start point, it's possible that you will be able to use less.
Temperatures are a bit high so I don't recommend running IBT(IntelBurnTest) or LinX, so we will have to relay on Prime95 small FFT to test if there's enough vcore.

That may give some room for IBT/LinX.
I suggest LinX, 2048MB 3-5 runs. If core temps exceeds 75c stop the test.
Post LinX results, click the "log" at bottom right corner and copy the log.

Ok i did the linx test and here is the log temps were about 71 71 63 63 it said no errors

I still havent touched the memory should i do that now?

Try a click or two more vcore.
If you have EasyTune installed you can try change it withhout reboot, change vcore and click the green "set" button.

I went in bios and upped the vcore for two clicks and now its 1.3625V everything seems to be stable what do i do now?
Temps are now when idle 40 40 33 35
EDIT:
I ran linx again but just 1 time and i got this a slight increse in GFlops its now 38.1921 everything else pretty much stayed the same even the temps +/- 1 degrees

Is this result with the tighter memory timings and tRD or still as before?
For for extended stability test run 9+ hours Prime95 blend. You can customize if to run 10 minutes each FFT size so it will do more tests.
If Prime failes it's important to log the FFT size that caused the failure. Small FFT (<128) means more vcore, and large FFT size mean BUS/memory issue.
