Default Formerly stable Q9550+EP45 ud3r 3.6ghz OC having trouble booting

I just added a new system drive and have been re-installing programs when I noticed it sometimes would double boot, and also will have reverted back to the original bios settings. When checking the bios settings it gave me a notice that it had re-booted due to overclocking or voltage changes.
The rig has been completely stable for 3 years till now.
Thanks in advance for any help!

I MAY have solved the problem... I had the old system drive in the rig (because I still wanted to use it for storage, and wanted to get some of the stuff off of it). I just unplugged the SATA cable and it's been booting fine. Does this make sense? What should I do to fix it; delete the windows folder off of it?

You really should not touch Advanced Timings at all they should be fine at auto. tRAS.is a bit low too.
My RAM does much better with 2.0v than with 2.1v. Compatibility with your baord is guaranteed only for BIOS F12.
Is channel B Static tRead Value auto?

How many disks/peripherals total are connected to the SATA/USB ports? Maybe A click up ICH or IOH can fix it?

Maybe you're on to something---I unplugged 2 external usb drives as well as the former system sata drive. I'll go ahead and set the advanced timings to auto and the dram to 2.00v though. Do you think I should flash F12?

Flashing BIOS is always a risk, so if you have no problem with your system you may want to leave it as it is.
What CPU cooler do you use, E9550 can usually clock higher easily.

It's an Asus Arctic Square... It was cheap and quiet (I do a lot of audio recording with this rig) and looks cool, but isn't a real hardcore cooler. Still the CPU always stays under 60C. I decided to go ahead and try adding RAM (the 4gb kit was the price of a tank of gas and should be here in a day or so). Do you have any suggestions for mem settings with 8gb?
    Thanks man.

For 6GB you may need more MCH Core, but maybe not, My system is stable up 450MHz FSB and 4GB with only 1.18v MCH Core.
Your RAM is downclocked so the settings may be enough for 8GB.
