Thread: Dell / Intel Locking - Can it be broken?

I have a nice system from Dell, but I would like to squeeze just a little more performance out of it.
Is there any way to UNLOCK the Intel i845E board?
I was looking at SoftFSB but it scares's sooooo out of date that for Intel boards only 440LX's show up and that is ancient.

I know that they have a proprietary power supply so just buying another board is out of the question, unless maybe I buy a new PS too?

I'm sorry but other than replacin' the motherboard and PSU (if the case is suitable) then that's the only option I know of. ;)

I've never been willin' to try it though.
