    just a little question...

in my mobo there´s a set of points where some pins should go, marked as sw1 and sw2 (No. 2) and an explaining table that says something like "CPU Freq. 100, 133, 166" and the corresponding jumpers that should be short for each one (No. 1)...
Should I go ahead and try to short them manually (by soldering them, i guess, or using some conductive ink before...)?
my AGOIA 1500+ hits easily 166 FSB, but i don´t keep it like that ´cos the lack of PCI/AGP dividers at 166 FSB makes my sistem unstable (****ty modem and TV card).....

I have the same motherboard but when I looked in the manual, it said nothing about that so what I would do is go to the MSI forums and they'd probably help you out.

I would not short them on the mobo. I'm sure your manual has instructions for making the settings in the bios. I've never seen MSI do this, but some mobo makers will make cheaper versions of mobos by leaving things like switches (and the functions that they support) off the mobo. These are often the boards that make it into low-end retail machines. Sometimes, and I suspect that this is the case with the board you have, a manufacturer will eliminate things such as switches when they provide no advantage over bios implimentations of the same features.

thanx everyone, i decided not to short´em out; I don´t have the money to replace my mobo if I screw things up...
