Flops not that important, they just indicate if the CPU can do what it is supposed to do.
There are other benchmarks you can do, like CINEBENCH, SuperPI, Prime95 has a benchmark too, and of course your game fps.
    See if more vcore helps.
BTW do you run IBT with Prime95 in background? Not a very good idea.

No, I only ever run IBT from cold boot or after EasyTune changes with CoreTemp, CPU-Z and sometimes MemSet. How safe is it to volt beyond Intels specs?

That is for you to decide, you are pretty far from it though.

Was messing about today at 1.4V Vcore and broke past 4.1GHz. It's probably not amazing but I'm quite pleased with it :)
    Code:
    458x9.0 = 4.122GHz @ 1.4V
    CPU PLL ------ 1.56
    CPU vtt ------ 1.28
    CPU Vcore ---- 1.40
    DRAM --------- 1.92 <-- Blue screen @ 1.9V
    MCH Core ----- 1.24
    ICH I/O ------ 1.54
    Others ------- Def
    Max CPU temp - 67'C
    Mem 5.5.5.18 916MHz
    Max GFlops --- 53.6982

Note that actual vcore is 1.378v and might be even lower under load.
I'd keep it at 1.35v myself, at least at CPU-Z, what can it do to with 1.35v in CPU-Z?

EDIT See table 2-12, page 27 X5460 ... - Datasheet Search Engine Download

I dropped Vcore to 1.38750 = 1.36 in CPU-Z, which dropped to a constant 1.296 during IBT. Best result was 456MHz...

Pretty good for 4 days overclocking isn't it?
Maybe I should get this CPU, need to check I cot LGA 775 board that works.

Like they say, it's not over until the fat lady sings... I started Prime before going to bed but awoke to find Worker 4 stopped after 30mins. Research suggests more Vcore for this problem but as we are already at 1.36V (CPU-Z) while idle, dropping to 1.3V under load, I guess I should start backing down FSB until Prime is happy.

Or - Do I increase VCore but keep CPU-Z at or below 1.35V under load?
Or - Back off 1 or 2 clicks FSB
Or - Is there something else in the last screenshot you can see that might need tweaking up or down?

It would ne nice to keep 4.1GHz as it's a nice round number and sounds cool :D but 4GHz+ don't sound too bad either hehe. I'll have a little muck about with it, maybe disable some unrequired systems in BIOS like floppy, parallel, that kinda stuff for what it's worth. Chat later o/

The datasheet says 1.35v max so you probably don't want to keep it much higher for a long time.
What prime test failed (FFT size)

I think 2nd option, dropping FSB 2 clicks at a time.

You were ready to give up at 3.8GHz, now you want to hold on to 4.1GHz, like they say, the appetite comes with eating.

It was small FFTs.. I started it again earlier after making some unrelated changes in BIOS. Basically disabled stuff I don't need (firefire, IDE, floppy, serial port, network2, etc) and switched HPET Support to 64bit, switched on HDD Smart. I don't think any of this stuff would effect the overclock. Anyhow Prime95 small FFTs stopped responded after 2 hours, the whole program just gave up while all workers were at same state and running. Maybe NB got too hot? Hard to say. I will try dropping MCH Core back to 1.2V and ICH I/O back to default 1.1V, I'm not even sure why I raised them in the first place, just seemed like a good idea at the time ;) So where do I want see Vcore max 1.35V in CPU-Z idle or set it in stone at BIOS? Incidentally I ran MemTest at 456x9 1.92V DRAM yesterday for 3 passes and got zero errors. I'll start Prime again now at 455 and see what happens. Thanks again for your help mate, really appreciate it..
