I can't take this man, I just got a new 40gb WD hdd, installed and everything. First thing I did was get all the updated drivers, then I installed 3DMARK2001 and ran it. got my score of abou 9700. Then I went and overclocked my Albatron GF4 Ti4200 128mb Turbo and couldn't get to 300 core or 600 mem. I think I'm at 290core and 590 mem. I'm really pissed about it too. Any help is appreciated. Also, is there any specific way to go about overclocking. I'm using coolbits btw.

Hey have ya considered a simple sig now to display ya setup? :?:

It would make answerin' your questions much easier if everyone can see the full details of ya hardware each time. :devil win

But somehow I just get the feelin' that your problem just maybe the software setup and/or case airflow so throw us every detail that ya can think of all we'll see how we go from there (any links to your case will be of great help also).

sorry, my bad, I didn't read the last of your post, otherwise I would've given more info.

It has two fans, one on the side, blowing in on the card, and one at the top, taking air out.

the more you bring up the core of your video card the volts it need go into bios and give it a little more
BRINING UP THE CORE AND VOLTS = HIGHER TEMPS

Yes just as I suspected. :(

That model case has a very bad front air intake setup though it does have excellent exhaust properties. This all boils down to the fact that the inside of your case lacks for want of fresh cool air.

But all is not lost yet!

The addition of 2 x 30cfm 80mm fans in those back exhaust positions and a 85cfm 120mm fan to the lower front corner of the side panel area (blowin' over the low HDD area and would be a good place to mount the hard drive as well) will greatly aid in coolin' ya whole system down plus give ya more overclockin' headroom to play with. :devil win

No body ever said a damn thing about volts people. How much should I go up by with the volts? Increments of like 1?
And how would I know when enough is enough?
