    thanks darth,

well i set the dram timing to hclk(266) and bank interleave to 4way then rebooted to bench mark. same 3d results, about 11,250. i was surprized turning the memory clock down didn't slow down my score.
so i rebooted and turned my fsb to 150 to get 1800mhz. after saving the changes my computer would not post. i had to reset bios to default and start over.
so i am back to 139 fsb.
i will keep the dram timing to hclk since i suffered no 3d bench mark losses. i am going to play unreal 2003 to see if the graphics are more stable, it was looking beautiful but i did get a slight bit of tearing mid-screen an a bit choppy.
i would like to use my antiliasing and texture sharpening but it isn't worth the loss of framerates. the radion 9700 is supposed to handle antiliasing without performance loss but i dont have that kinda cash.
i wonder if ther is any software i can use to overclock like i use for my agp card.
i don't have a heat problem, can't figure it out.

You might try to set the FSB to 145 since this is generally a good speed that most KT266A and newer chipsets will run at. From there you can unlock the processor and really get down to business. :)

Either ya got one bad CPU or that Kingston nic is the prob. Try overclockin' without the nic and see what happens. ;)

Oh and what sort of temps are ya getting (room/system and CPU while under full load? :?:

take the nic out and try it...it wouldn't surprise me it it is the culprit...it you get good results with out it then put the netgear nic in and try it....if not then take a look at yout ram

and like wiggo mentioned, what are your temps?

those temps are fine...but it looks like your temps could be a hell of a lot better with some improved case cooling...the mobo should just be a few degrees above room temp, your cpu looks fine, but could be better...none of these temps are high enough to cause oc problems though

Well there's somethin' not right there which makes me think that the memory settin's are too agressive. Have ya selected Load Safe Defaults in the BIOS and then tried the FSB again? :?:

Also if ya memory voltage is at 2.5v then up it to 2.6 volts as that may help as well. ;)
