    i have an LG 8x4x32x burner CED-8080B/CED- 8081B

    I really, highly, doubt that possible, and wouldn't suggest it either, considering they dont have along life span.

    I think it could be done with some voltmodds etc, but as mentioned, the life of your drive and not to mention the written cd's quality may not be to good though...



    But ask Wiggo, as i think he is the most oc experienced member we got.

    Have a look around here, http://www.cdr-info.com/, as ya may find a firmware upgrade for it that may lift ya a speed or two but be warned it is risky. ;)

    Wiggo was on the right track. Check here. You can upgrade an 8083B to a 8080B, but you can't upgrade your existing 8080B to anything else.
