    well the temp differences could be that when you are in bios the cpu isnt doing much. When you boot to Win the cpu is working, Correct me if I am wrong but even when windows is at idle it is still working on some things:?: I believe they both use the same thermal probes so the readings should be the same.

    Yeah, I also think they use the same sensor (because there is only one sensor for the CPU :D ) You may well be right, that the BIOS won´t use the CPU as much as windows... Comments anyone...? :cool:

    Ive wonderd the same ting myself and came up with the same conclusion. I try and leave one or two heavy games running while checking temps under stress but if youve any better suggestions?

    my CPU temp is 37 ... well ok i haven't overclocked it :hammer:

    Whats your baby filled with, Ive read that the athlon xp2600 operates at up to 85c. Sounds hot to me?

    What do I use to clock a gigabyte 9700, although I wouldnt say that I needed to.
