Thread: xp2000 unlock?

    l have a gigabyte GA-7VA mobo and a 2000+ T-bred core amd(1666MHz)
    my system is rock stable at fsb148x12.5 at 43C(1850MHz)
    can you tell me how l can unlock the multiplier

    These two links will give ya all that and the 1st is an interactive guide so use the drop boxes but just the last L3 bridge is usually all that's required (use multipliers up to 12.5) but the guide will also show combos for hardwirin' the multiplier and voltage as well. :devil win

    too lazy to start a new thread. Can you unlock it so youcan change the multiplier through BIOS???

    Here ya go! Jumper the socket, with a smaller wire than this one. I started to do the wire trick, and when I pulled my CPU I realized it was a Palomino. I prolly should have just used wcpuid to see that is was an XP model 6, the t-breds are model 8, I believe. Oh well, I got a nice picture out of it. A couple, actually.
