Soltek Computer Inc. today announced its first Intel 848P chipset based mainboard, the SL-848P-L.

Supporting 800MHz FSB, Intel Hyper-Threading Technology, DDR400, and AGP8X graphics interface, the SL-848P-L delivers excellent performance for mainstream Intel Pentium 4 processor based PC systems. Besides, UV technology, the unique innovation from Soltek, makes this board support all the Pentium 4 processors including the upcoming Intel's new processors.

Adopting Intel I/O Controller Hub 5 (Intel ICH5), the SL-848P-L offers dual independent Serial ATA ports which enable high-speed 150MB/sec connections to Serial ATA Hard Drives. The SL-848P-L also features high-bandwidth connectivity options, including the support for eight USB 2.0 ports and 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet.

To meet power users' ever-increasing demand for higher performance, the SL-848P-L features rich overclocking features such as easy BIOS adjustments of FSB Setting, Vcore Setting, AGP Voltage, DIMM Voltage, and Multiplier Setting.
