Get CRT if the main reason is gaming, when you start running your games in a brand new pricy LCD you will start having that felling that your money wasnít well spent and you will say itís awesome only to try to fool yourself. I have a friend that bought a pc for games recently and I told him to stay away from LCD, he didnít listen now his trying to sell the monitor and his cheaper video card, to buy a CRT and a better video card.
If space is an issue you can buy Pla$$$$ma or Samsungís CRTs that are a little bit smaller then regular CRTs.

There are a few monitors that are sufficient for even 72FPS gaming, but I'd agree that CRT should be the monitor of choice for any gaming system unless you absolutely can't fit it where you need to.
