ECS debut simply smart, high style, high performance AMD Turion™ 64 dual core G430 notebook at Computex 2006



Milton Keynes, England, 6<SUP>th</SUP> June, 2006 – Combining power for today’s most demanding notebook owners the stylish flair that typifies this mobile generation’s lifestyle, ECS will introduce the new simply smart high performance 14.1-inchAMD Turion™ 64 dual-core G430 notebook at Computex 2006 in Taipei.


Built to work with next generation AMD processors, the ECS G430 features K8 Socket S1, providing support for AMD Turion™ 64 dual-core as well as Mobile AMD Sempron™ single core processors.

Ready for up to 2 GB of fast DDR II RAM, the G430 speeds through the most intensive and demanding applications. The addition of an optional TV tuner card with coaxial connector, TV recording capabilities turns the G430 into a true WindowsMediaCenter Edition-ready personal home theater. Though packed with power, the ECS G430 is compact and designed with a stylish attitude.


Like all ECS notebooks, the G430 is packed with simply smart features, intelligent touches that add utility, ease of use and flair far beyond that found in run-of-the-mill notebooks.


For example, the G430’s widescreen 14.1-inch 1200 x 800 resolution TFT LCD screen comes with an automatic brightness control that adjusts screen brightness in accordance with ambient light conditions for maximum viewing comfort regardless of whether the notebook is at work in a darkened airline cabin or on a bright beach. It also includes a 1.3 mega-pixel CMOS web camera built into the notebook’s frame above the LCD screen frame. Available with either on-board UMA graphics or a stand-alone high-performance discrete graphics adapter, the G430 supports high-performance AGP accelerated graphics adapters for demanding 3D games.


Designed with multiple configurations to accommodate diverse budgets, the G430 comes with 10/100/1000Mbps PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet and is available with an optional 802.11 b/g WLAN card, on-board Bluetooth 2.0 and a 4-in-1 card reader.
