Taipei, Taiwan, June 6, 2006 –FOXCONN, the global leader in the design and manufacture of computer, communications and consumer electronic components, today announced it is focusing product development on delivering exciting products to the enthusiast PC market, and is doing so by selecting NVIDIA technology to power a new line up of feature-rich and fast-performing motherboards and graphics cards.

The first product out of the gate from Foxconn is the C51XEM2AA motherboard which debuted at the end of May. This highly tuned motherboard for Socket AM2 by AMD features the award-winning NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI media and communications processor and is certified to run NVIDIA SLI and NVIDIA Quad SLI configurations. The C51XEM2AA is also the first production motherboard to hit the market that is based on the NVIDIA reference platform. By choosing the NVIDIA reference platform as the basis for its motherboard design, Foxconn is assuring its customers that all features and software provided by the NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP, including LinkBoost, SLI Memory, NVIDIA DualNet Ethernet, and the NVIDIA nTune performance application are fully functional and supported for customer use.

In addition to the C51XEM2AA, Foxconn’s product plans also include additional motherboards targeting a variety of price points and feature sets. From corporate to SOHO business users, home entertainment, to multiple levels of enthusiasts, Foxconn is providing a range of boards that provide excellent overclocking capability, connectivity, the best layouts, features and component sets that meet customers’ performance needs.

“We were naturally delighted to work with Foxconn in the development of the NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI-based C51X<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:chmetcnv w:st="on" TCSC="0" NumberType="1" Negative="False" HasSpace="False" SourceValue="2" UnitName="m2">2M2</st1:chmetcnv>AA motherboard,” said Drew Henry, general manager of MCP business at NVIDIA. “Given their new focus on the enthusiast community, we are confident that the great features, performance, and full support for our entire NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP hardware and software suite will be of great interest to those users looking for the ultimate platform for their enthusiast PC.”

“It is fair to say that traditionally, the Foxconn name is not well known in the enthusiast market,” commented Vincent Yuan, General Manger of Foxconn Channel Services Division. “However, we have always been extremely active in all the technologies of this key market, while still producing products for value and mainstream segments. NVIDIA has been an integral partner in helping us reach this milestone and we have learned a lot from them about how the use of high quality components, intelligent layout and enthusiast features will enable us to target this market successfully.”

Foxconn will also introduce a new family of graphics cards based on the very successful and award-winning NVIDIA GeForce7-Series graphics processing units (GPUs). One new model is the Foxconn FV-N<st1:chmetcnv w:st="on" TCSC="0" NumberType="1" Negative="False" HasSpace="False" SourceValue="795" UnitName="m">795M</st1:chmetcnv>4D2-OD, a NVIDIA® SLIReady graphic card supported by the NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GX2 GPU.
