Elitegroup Computer Systems is showcasing its exciting new EOR2 all-in-one home media center PC at Computex 2006.

Milton Keynes, England, 7<SUP>th</SUP> June, 2006The ECS EOR2 is a DVD player, DVD recorder, personal video recorder, digital photo frame, high-end stereo, games console and more – all housed in a simply smart one-box design, a compact attractive package with full consumer electronics connectivity. This complete home entertainment center can stream recorded TV programs or music throughout a home, transfer contents to a PC in any room and is designed to work in harmony with existing AV systems.

Specifically designed for use with big-screen TVs, Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition and Intel® Viiv™ digital home entertainment platform compliant, the EOR2 connects easily to TVs and home theater systems, acting as a ‘control center’ to unify, organise and control a mixture of home entertainment system elements. Although packed with entertainment power, the EOR2 is exceptionally quiet, emitting 24dBs in idle mode and 30 dBs in full load mode.

Like the outstanding consumer electronics product it is, the ECS EOR2 home media center delivers a superb audio/video experience, easy connectivity and an eye-pleasing design.

It is set up for Dolby 7.1 channel surround sound HD audio; delivers high definition media interface, video output to 720p and 1080i; and works with ATSC, DVB-T and HDTV signals.

Designed for people who are not AV experts, the ECS EOR2 provides all the ports and plugs needed to connect entertainment gear. Plugs are nicely grouped and well-illustrated by icons and legends for users’ easy access. Video outputs include S-video, composite, L/R audio and rear inputs for a set top box. Audio output is powered by integrated Intel® High-Definition 7.1 Audio with full 7.1 RCA analog outputs and optical as well as coaxial S/P DIF.

With a simply smart design, the compact EOR2 fits with even the most elegantly appointed family or living room.

Powered by an Intel® LGA775 Pentium® D or Celeron® D processor, the ECS EOR2 can be configured with up to 2GB of fast DDR1 or DDR II memory. It comes with PCI Express x16 graphics power cooled by a passive heat sink. With SATA II hard drives providing up to 500 GB of storage, an onboard 8-in-1 multimedia card reader, a total of four high speed USB 2.0 ports and an IEEE1394 port, the EOR2 is ready to handle and store a huge volume of media in all the most popular formats.

It features a choice of single or dual TV tuners, the latter configuration making it possible to record two television programs simultaneously.

The EOR2 comes with an 802.11 a/b/g mini PCI WLAN plus infrared and RF receivers for streaming and sharing.
