    Antec approaches PC power perfection
~ PSU series quietly supports high-performance PC systems ~

Antec Europe has launched its new range of TruePower Power Supply Units (PSUs) designed to meet the European standards for 'silent' PSU noise levels. This new PSU demonstrates the lowest noise levels in the company's product line.

TruePower features dedicated output circuitry for each voltage, providing increased system reliability and allowing all components in the PC to receive maximum power when needed. It also includes a voltage feedback system to improve system stability and maintain accurate voltage to each component.

In order to achieve the optimum balance between noise reduction and necessary cooling, TruePower is equipped with Antec's Low Noise Technology. Additionally, the PSU fans run at the lowest speed appropriate to load and conditions, and dedicated 'Fan Only' power connectors allow TruePower to control the speed of case fans.

"Most people never even think about their PC's power supply. But a high-performance power supply is at the heart of a high-performance computer," said Scott Richards, vice-president of sales and marketing at Antec. "TruePower provides the power, stability and reliability necessary for demanding PC users, while minimising the noise."

This latest addition to Antec's portfolio of Power Supply Units is available in voltages ranging from 330W to 550W and includes two double ball bearing fans and gold plated connectors. TruePower is compliant for AMD and Intel-based systems, including P4, and includes Power Factor Correction (PFC).

Antec's TruePower PSUs will be available mid-May at major retailers, e-tailers and distributors starting at £42.00 (RRP), and come with the Antec Quality three-year warranty. For full technical specifications and further product information, please visit www.antec-europe.com.

It's the PSU that is used in that Antec PLUS1080 case I reviewed a little while back. It's a neat setup, and I liked the braided main power cable. Works great for those motherboards that have the main power close to the processor socket. Keeps any stray wires from becoming fan bait.
