    Shuttle Launches XPC SS51

Shuttle, the leading developer of innovative small form factor (SFF) computing solutions, today launched the latest model in its rapidly expanding XPC product line. Widely regarded as the pinnacle of Small Form Factor design, the Shuttle XPC line are poised to become the standard for next generation PCs.

The Shuttle XPC SS51 makes its debut today, bringing with it many groundbreaking technologies for the SFF market.

    • AGP and PCI Expandability
The key new feature of XPC SS51 is its ability to accommodate full size AGP4X and PCI expansion cards. This gives the user the flexibility to expand and configure their XPC, much the same as a full size PC would be configured.

    • Blistering Performance
No longer will SFF computers be saddled with sub-standard performance. The XPC SS51 breaks the SFF performance barrier with DDR333, 533MHz Front Side Bus, AGP4X, ATA133, and Intel® P4 processors up to 2.53GHz and beyond.

    • Exceptional Connectivity
Like all XPC’s, the SS51 offers the best in connectivity and external expandability. Traditional XPC features like IEEE1394 Firewire™, S-Video and Composite Out, 5.1 channel audio with digital optical out (SPDIF) and USB have been further expanded with the XPC SS51 by the addition of DVI (Digital Video Interface), four USB2.0 ports, and SPDIF input.

    • Enjoy the Silence
Shuttle’s patented Integrated Cooling Engine (I.C.E.) heat pipe technology introduced with the XPC SS40 has been adopted for use with P4 processors in the XPC SS51. The I.C.E. heat pipe allows the elimination of the processor fan, greatly reducing noise and allowing a quiet environment. Coupled with the I.C.E. is a speed and temperature controlled 80mm fan, which only speeds up when the system is placed under stress.

    • Case Customizability
With FaceOff™, XPC SS51 owners have the option of changing the color of their SS51’s faceplate and drive covers. The insert can be customized with logos, designs, and pictures printed directly onto optional paper inserts. The XPC SS51 ships standard with a transparent blue FaceOff™ faceplate.

    • Small and Attractive
The Shuttle XPC SS51 stays true to the traditional Shuttle SFF form factor, measuring a scant 200(w) x 181(h) x 280(d)mm. This allows the XPC SS51 to fit into any environment, including home theater, work environment, college dorm room, and hundreds of others.

    Pricing and Availability
The Shuttle XPC SS51 is available now for Shuttle’s distributor and reseller partners. Retail availability of the XPC SS51 will follow shortly at an estimated MSRP of USD $369.
