First up from Albatron today is their GeForce 4 MX480...

    Albatron MX480 Featruing AGP8X Technology

September 2002 - Albatron Technology, a manufacturer of Motherboards and Graphics Cards announced the powerful MX480 Graphic Accelerator Card featuring nVIDIA’s exciting new MX440-8X (NV18) chipset. This GPU supports AGP8X which virtually doubles the bandwidth and performance of predecessor AGP4X based cards. Albatron has also included an L-footprint heat sink and an impressive fan for maximum area heat dissipation to compensate fro the heat generated by memories. The MX480 entry into the market appears to be well timed as the industry is beginning to phase in a new era of “AGP 8X Ready” mainboards to keep up with growing demands of the PC gaming industry.

The MX480 Graphics Accelerator Card comes with some very impressive specifications including a 512MHz memory clock, a 128bit Memory Bus, 64MB DDR memory and the memory bandwidth reaching to 8.2GB/sec. The core of this card used NV18 GPU whose clock speed of 275MHz also boasts a fill rate of 1.1billion texels/sec. as MX440. Comparing with MX440, the only difference is MX480 can supports AGP 8X. All of this will undoubtedly result in significant performance enhancements for PC games and other graphic intensive programs.

The MX480 employs nVIDIA’s Lightspeed Memory Architecture (LMA) II which is the latest installation of nVIDIA’s highly advanced image display technology designed to tackle high-bandwidth , high-intensity, continuous display graphics applications (i.e. PC games), capable of managing several programs simultaneously without skipping a beat. Accuview AntiAliasing (AA) Technology is also incorporated using advanced Multisampling and Anisotropic Filtering technologies to enhance the sharpness and quality of your images without the usual degradation of performance. It also owns the T & L (Transform & Lighting engine) II and VEP (Video Processing Engine) technology. Users may also choose to take advantage of nVIDIA’s nView Multidisplay Technlolgy which allows you to avoid” window stacking”, breaking out of your single monitor environment and expanding your desktop over several monitors. nView combines hardware and software to provide users with a variety of multiple display configurations using flat panels, analog CRTs, TVs all controlled by a user-friendly, intuitive software control interface.

Albatron continues to lead the way to incorporate the most recent, advanced technologies emerging from the graphics industry, The MX480, “AGP 8X Ready” Graphics Accelerator Card is the latest in a line of front runner products built for speed and aimed specifically at those with a need for high performance with reliable stability.

    Next up is Albatron's KT400 333MHz FSB supporting KX400-8X...

    Albatron KX400-8X Comes Out!

October 2002 - Albatron Technology, a manufacturer of Mainboards and Graphics Cards announced its new rising star, the KX400-8X Mainboard. Built for power and performance, this Mainboard features Front Side Bus 333MHz and support for high-end AMD Athlon™ XP 2700+ processors. In addition, Albatron has also added punch to its graphics capabilities by including recent announced AGP 8X technology. Albatron’s KX400-8X comes with all of the latest performance enhancing components to challenge for top dog as one of this year’s performance leaders.
The KX400-8X has stacked its side with an impressive lineup of components. It comes with a Socket 462 supporting popular AMD processors including the AMD Athlon™, AMD Athlon™ XP, and the AMD Duron™. In addition, the KX400-8X features the VIA® KT400/8235 chipsets. And this board also comes with three memory sockets capable of DDR400 (Overclocked) as well as support for ultra fast ATA 133 Hard Disks.

Aside from all of the performance advantages, the KX400-8X also comes bundled with a BIOS mirror which allows you to keep a backup BIOS in case your primary BIOS is damaged by a virus or during a flash update process, a nice feature when upgrading high profile systems. Also included with this Mainboard is a very convenient feature called the Voice Genie which provides you with voice diagnostics when problems occur during the boot process. For those audio connoisseurs, this Mainboard comes with “6 Channel AC 97 Audio” in addition to support for SPDIF audio equipment. Finally, six USB (2.0/1.1) ports round out a fairly comprehensive specifications list.

The KX400-8X includes an impressive blend of performance, variety and versatility. FSB333 (supported by Athlon™ XP 2700+ processors), DDR400 (Overclocked), and 8X AGP leads the way for tackling even the most CPU intensive, bandwidth consuming, memory based applications available on the market today. Watch for the KX400-8X - “Born for speed”.

And finally is Albatron's PX845PEV Pro motherboard based on the Intel's soon to be released 845PE chipset which supports DDR333 but is capable of reaching DDR 400 with the special overclocking capabilities engineered into the board by Albatron.

    Albatron DDR400+ Mainboard--PX845PEV Pro

September 2002 - Albatron Technology, a manufacturer of Mainboards and Graphics Cards announced the new and exciting ‘PX845PEV Pro’ Mainboard. This board is positioning itself to take advantage of the new generation of Intel® Pentium® 4 CPUs with the capability to boost its FSB frequency up to 667MHz (overclocked), and supports DDR400 (overclocked) speed by Intel 845PE northbridge chipset, which is now ready to make the jump to unprecedented performance levels.

The PX845PEV Pro, includes the latest Intel® 845PE chipset which supports DDR333 but is capable of reaching DDR 400 with the special overclocking capabilities engineered into the board by Albatron. In the other hand, this board builds-in a 3COM Ethernet LAN and supports 480Mbit/s USB 2.0 ports, making it high performance boards ever.

Albatron Technology has designed this Mainboard with easy-to-tune and easy-to-overclock features. The purpose was to come out with a new breed of Mainboards suited to overclocking, satisfying the insatiable demands of computer gamers. This Mainboard comes with the “Watch Dog Timer” which senses when a system hang has occurred and then automatically resets the default BIOS configurations so that you don’t have to open the computer case and rejumper to manually clear the BIOS configurations. This convenient feature comes in extremely handy when experimenting with overclocking configurations. Also Albatron engineers have enhanced overclocking configurability by enabling the user to configure voltage settings for the CPU (1.1V~1.85V, 0.25 increments), DDR (2.5V, 2.6V, 2.7V, 2.8V), and AGP (1.5V~1.6V).

The Albatron PX845PEV Pro supports the Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor, Socket 478 with FSB 400/533MHz (667MHz setting available for overclocking), 3 DDR333 memory sockets, 5 PCI slots, 1 AGP Slot, SPDIF, 6 USB 2.0/1.1 ports (4 by bracket and cable), built-in 3COM LAN Chip and a 6 Channel AC97 Audio.
