  • Wireless signal range problem

Iwant to connect my computer(s) with a wireless network, and have already bought two USB adaptors which work fine. However, I have two 3foot thick walls in my house and the signal is lost if I try and use my laptop in a room beyond the second wall. Do I need an access point, or router or what!!
    Any help would be appreciated

if your wireless NICs can have an external antenna added to them you can increase your range that way. bigger more powerful antenna will get better range. Also some access point can accept an external antenna as well.

if you have existing thernet cabling connected to a switch in the room(s) you want to use wireless in you can buy a wireless bridge and connect it to your wired cabling.
