Tyan 9600 PRO @ New Egg for $160 USD.this post by "Mr.Tweak". The Hercules looked good as well as the Gigabyte version. I'd think it would preform great in Half Life. Can't confirm that personally though.

I just ordered the 9600 Pro from Sapphire http://www.sapphiretech.com/vga/9600pro.asp after being disatisfied with my GeForce 5200. Hope it performs as well as I've heard...

the 7500 was about 75 bux as opposed to the 9600. i bought both cards for my sis computer and i prolly should have taken more time to think about buying both becuase she ended up liking the 7500 and she doesnt need a 128mb card now that i think of it so i decided not to keep it and jsut keep the cheaper one. hopefully someone wants it for 100 becuase im already losing 20 bux and i dont wanna lose another 100

I am sure someone would love to buy a card like that, but if you get desperate just sell it to some idiot for full price or something :flames:

Geez man, you made it sound as if the 9600 Pro was a POS compared to the 7500. Don't do that!

The 9600 Pro is a wonderful card and you'll have no problem running HL2 with it. You can see my system specs below, but it performs beautifully for me and I'm quite happy with it, although I paid $200 for mine at Best Buy...I needed it fast cause I fried my previous card.
