  • The Aussie's Are Kickin' Butt In South Africa

Well day3 of the 1st cricket test in Sth. Africa and the Sth. Africans are on the ropes and things are looking pretty grim for them atm.
We declared yesterday at 7 for 652 after a 323 run partnership between Gilchrist and Martyn. Martyn scored 133 before gettin' out and Gilchrist scored the fastest ever double century finishing on 204 after 213 balls when the innings was declared.
The Sth.Africans have just been dismissed 159, loosins their last 6 for 48 runs leaving them 493 runs behind and will soon take up their bats again to see if they can force us to bat again.
But really things look pretty bleak for them with their fast bowler Donald being injured and requiring a runner to bat.

Ok now at tea (early due to a wicket fallin') and Sth. Africa are now 6 for 109 with Sth. Africa lookin' at it's worse test defeat for 54yrs since Australia done that one to them.
Warne has 4 of the wickets.

So despite the Aussies being crap at the one-day game they can still kick arse in the longer format :thumb:

Well it's all over as Sth. Africa was bundled out in their 2nd innings for 133 which left them 360 runs behind with still over and hour left of the 3rd day.
The greatest defeat the Sth. Africans have ever received losin' by an innings and 360 runs.
Warne took 4 wickets for 44 runs and McGrath finished with 5 wickets for 21 runs.
I hope they do a little better in the next test. :?:

that is seriously shameful... but I think it was just a big psychological thing. without Pollock to lead them, they didn't think they had a chance.. then when Donald hurt himself.. :(
