  • New RAM and Mobo

Hey, Im thinking about getting new RAM and/or a new mobo. Do you guys think its worth it and what do you think of my choices?

    RAM: Corsair TWINX512-3200LLPT OR TWINX512-3700PT OR TWINX512-4000PT

    Mobo: Abit NF7-S v2.0

    Thanks a lot.

The NF7-S is a very nice mobo :thumb: As for the RAM I would suggest getting either the PC3200 or PC3500 if you want some more overclocking room, you almost certainly wouldnt need the extra FSB room that PC3700 or PC4000 would give because the nforce2 chipset with an Athlon XP proc almost certainly wont reach those FSB speeds, plus with the PC4000 you lose the low latency even at lower FSB's

Yikes... didn't research enough. Sorry about that. I had thought that this was the lower latency modules. Might try looking at something like their CMX512-3500C2 modules for better memory timings for overclocking.

If you're staying with the same CPU, I'd get the TwinX-3200LL RAM. That has plenty of overclocking headroom with your current setup.
