I want to overclock my CPU

Hey all, I can build my own computer but, i dont have a clue about overclocking. I have a Intel P4 2.8ghz, Soyo P4VDA MOBO, 830 somthing megs of DDRSDRAM, i have a thermaletake 3 CPU cooler,
I just need a step by step explanation on if and how i can overclock my CPU.

Well lettin' us know the speed ratin' of the memory would help a lot but that's an odd memory count, so what combination of memory are ya usin' as well? :?:

well my memory is DDR SDRAM, I have 768 megs of ram, the speed i think is PC1300. I am using one 512 stick and one 256 stick of memory.
