Which ATI driver to use?

Which driver version should I download to my new 9800Pro card?

Benchmarking numbers means nothing to me I'm just after the best image quality there is. I'm not updated on how often new drivers get released for the ATI products or how good/bad the different versions are.

I'm just aware of the fact that with the Nvidia drivers the latest did not always mean the best. Any info regarding this would be a great help.. /thx

The ATi drivers seem to be a bit more refined than the nVidia versions. So far the latest has been the best choice and this still holds true. Catalyst v3.9 is the latest publicly available and they have gotten very good reviews for both quality and performance.
